I didn't want to write a review right away because I wasn't sure about its reliability, so I waited 5 months to review this kettle. It has boiled water every day for 5 months without any problems. Water in our area is softer than other areas, so that helps keep it in good condition. Overall, a great kettle and a great value. 5 stars.

Does the job

Looks good, works very efficiently.

The kettle stopped working properly. It looks like it keeps boiling and never stop, but it doesn't actually boil. The water stays cold. I called Hamilton Beach customer service. They agreed to send me one for replacement thanks to the warranty, but they want to charge me about $30 shipping fee.

The kettle works well but you have to clean it often otherwise you get minerals at the bottom of your cup. The lid under steel is plastic and I would have preferred that it wasn't.

Good quality and inexpensive kettle

Good kettle, particularly considering the low price. It isn't too noisy, and is reasonably quick to boil, and doesn't show up finger prints on the stainless steel. The lid also opens quite wide to fill with water, and the kettle is stable on its stand. It also pours well. Photo on website shows a two pin plug, which is incorrect it uses a standard three pin plug. Recommended.

Being English and therefore a tea addict an electric kettle is a must. But they should have certain design features. Many kettles fail in this regard. First and easy open lid. Hinged with a big release button. Check. Easy to see water level indicator. At the front (if you are right handed). Check. And easy to see light indicating it's on. Check. This one has an led light ring going all round it so no matter where you can see it.

Big plastic piece inside

Only outside is stainless steel, inside to but there's is big plastic piece for the water level. So I returned it rite away at the customer service. And our walmart 3029 is the worse for online order. You literally have to wait an hour to get your order that to the customer service have to page atleast minimum 7 times including manager, then one associate comes with your order. I AM NEVER EVER BUYING ANYTHING ONLINE FROM WALMART AGAIN.
