Pretty but useless

The color and fabric look nice, but they are so thin they are useless. The heat goes right through -- you may as well use a dishtowel.

Exactly what I was looking for . . .

I thought buying a couple of pot holders to match our kitchen would be easy. I looked around before I went to Overstock, thinking that they would not have something that mundane. Having no luck at all, I went to Overstock. I remembered that I had never had a bad experience with buying from them. (Once we bought a beautiful rug for a dining room; could not find it anywhere else.). OVERSTOCK scored again on the pot holders. I wish I had gone there in the beginning. Highly recommend for honesty, speed, reliability, and quality. A+

I got the nautical blue stripe chef potholders. They are really well made. Durable not made cheaply. Work well to take a hot pan out of the oven or a pot off the stove. Would buy again if we needed them.

These potholders feel thin but you don't burn your fingers when using them. I like that there is a little pocket to put your fingers in if you need to. I love the design as well. Super easy to clean if something spills on them.

I’ve purchased several different oven mitts that just melt or warp and have to be replaced rather quickly after purchasing, but these ones have stood the test of time and frequent use.These are the go-to potholders for my family. They are the best. I love that I never have to worry about burning the top of my hand because there is cloth on the top. They can handle extremely high temperatures and I have never been burned. Excellent mitt, heatproof enough that I can bring my cast iron plancha in from the outdoor gas grill to the kitchen with no problem at all.

[Rewarded Review] Great simple potholders

I recieved the DII Nautical Blue Stripe Chef Potholder (set of 2) a few weeks ago. Each potholder measures about 9" by 8 ". The color is a nautical blue with a white stripe. There is no stripes on the inside of the potholder. The potholders are 100% cotton according to tag. Each potholders has a loop on top so you can hang it on a hook. The loop is created from the hem around the potholder. The loop end is sewn to the back potholders. The potholders have a diagonal stripe sewn on the back of potholders. The potholder material is thicker on the back. Each potholder has a thinner material pocket in front where you would insert your hand. The potholder itself is kind of stiff. Making it hard to get a good grip on pans or pothandles. But not impossible. The tag says to wash separately before use. So I'm not sure if they would soften with time and washing. I did not wash potholders as of yet. Also I found that if you have the potholder close to a flame you can feel the heat on the bottom front of the potholder. The fabric is thinner in the front pocket so there is less fabrics to protect your hand. The potholder tag says for cleaning, machine wash colors separately. Use cold water and gentle cycle. Then tumble dry on low. If you have to iron use low settings. Overall it's a good simple potholder. If feel would work for many occasions.

These are durable and look great in the kitchen! We have already used them several times and they show no wear. They are the right amount of thickness to not feel the heat when gripping pans and feel strong when in use.

These potholders are larger then your normal potholders. Great for those larger pots or casserole dishes. They feature a classic navy and white stripped design pattern. The potholders are stiff at first, but with use and washes, I'm sure that will change. Overall these are nice potholders. Well made with good material and stitching. I guess the only downside is that the loop is on the smaller side, if you want to hang it.

These potholders are nice and thick so there is no heat transfer... They have a little pocket on the back to help with gripping a pot or pan. They have a nice modern pattern and fit in nicely in my kitchen

I receive two of these in a gorgeous blue with white stripes. They are wonderful and work very well. Love the pocket. We do alot of baking and have used lots of pot holders and these are by far my favorite.

These are great. Beautiful blue color and very well made. Plus, they're extra large so they even cover the inside of my wrists. Which is great for protecting my skin and so handy for taking hot, heavy dishes out of the oven.

I really like these potholders! They are big enough to cover my entire hand and thick enough that I don't feel hot pans when I grab them out of my oven. The large size is a huge plus for me as it helps prevent burns to the wrist. I also appreciate the dark color - it is easy to keep looking clean and hides stains very well.
