Very Good for the Price

These have a metal top but the lower part is all plastic. The finish is also just painted metal, and the paint has a coarse/rough texture. This is not nearly as nice as the $25~ registers that Lowes sells (that look very similar), but for the price they can't be beat. The top metal portion feels pretty sturdy, at least as strong as other metal registers. But since the lower portion is plastic I would avoid using these in areas where they may get stepped on a lot. Overall great for the price, but don't be rough with them.

Looks nice, but...

As others have stated, these are not meant for consistent foot traffic (no one in our house weighs over 160). One broke upon install and another the slats popped out while walking on, so I moved others to minimal traffic areas. They are attractive and are livable if placed out of harms way. The $45 per unit ones are built like a tank, so, you get what you pay for.

Good quality and looks nice. I like the bulk option. Wish there were more designs to choose from in bulk packs, but overall I'm happy with these.
