I purchased this for our dusk to dawn outside light. It's not bright enough to even cast a shadow. It was supposed to be "better" than the old model bulb. Cost efficient is NOT efficient if the product doesn't light up enough to deter criminals or at least light your way enough to keep you from falling or stepping on a snake !!
Base was a little wider that expected but fit in dusk to dawn and has worked great since installed.
