Very poor quality
Very bad quality. Cheap materials. Would never buy again.
product assembly easy however the locking nuts and screws would not tighten so I had to use my own wood screws to assemble corners, and the back was flimsy so I had to buy a piece of paneling to give it stability. Otherwise this shelf could never work as a book case or in a child's play room for much.
Worthwhile
For the price and design of the bookcase, it was overall worthwhile. However, it takes more time to put together. Caveat, you will need to set a decent amount of time and space assembling it.
Easily assembled and functional
It's not bad quality for the price. It would be nice if it could bear a bit more weight, but overall it fit perfectly where I wanted to put it, and meets my needs.
Clean lines, sturdy, functional best describe the small bookcase. Only issue is one or two joints don’t fit as clearly as they should. Since I’m only using for shelves in a closet that doesn’t really matter. Would not use in a room as furniture.
Won't buy Furinno brand again
I purchased this bookshelf, thinking that because of the slightly more expensive price it would be of better quality than similar, cheaper items carried by Target. I was wrong. The "wood" material mars and gouges easily; the finish peels off when you remove the sticky labels (that mark which part is which); and, during assembly, the holes do not line up with the metal fasteners. The back of the bookshelf is basically heavy-duty cardboard which does not appear to be very durable. If you shelve your books with gusto, you will likely put a hole in the backing. It is also a very unstable piece of furniture, so if you have children or pets, be sure and attach it to the wall. I wasn't expecting a high quality bookshelf when I purchased this item, but I have previously purchased similar items from Target that were much better quality and not nearly as expensive. I wish Target still carried those bookshelves. Like I said in the review title, I won't buy this brand again. (Incidentally, when I first purchased this item, I submitted a negative review, and now that review is nowhere to be found. I wonder if this review will disappear also?) Less
Thin shelves, not for books
Shelves are thin, need screws for support. Not sturdy for heavy items like boks. Good for light display. Check weight limit before buying.
Book shelves
Easily assembled. Attractive looking and practical dimensions. I bought them for my sisters room in a group home and they are perfect. They hold a lot of her books and DVDs but take up little space.
Not worth the price
This was extremely difficult to assemble. If you don't own a certain type of tool it will be impossible. It also started leaning as soon as I stood it up which ended up breaking one of the ends where the panels locked. It was inconvenient and very time consuming. All together took about 1 1/2 hrs to assemble.
