Good, But Expensive

I want the best air filtration for my home and this filters out 98% of airborne viruses and 99% of airborne allergy and asthma triggers that flow through the filter. The only down side is they need to be replaced every 6 months and they're expensive. They also reduce the airflow a little bit, but it's hardly noticeable. Other than that, they're great furnace filters that will definitely improve your indoor air quality.

Loved the results after it was installed. I have bad allergies and I instantly noticed the air in my rooms were cleaner. I will always use this brand. Thank you for making my life liveable.

I haven't used this for a super-long time yet, but so far this filter seems to be working fine. It doesn't really seem too much better or worse than the one it replaced, but I'm also not dealing with a whole lot of allergens or pets or anything like that to begin with; it's also not currently pollen season, but I have no reason to believe it won't do an excellent job when that comes around again. It is a little pricey, but I'm hoping it will outperform the paper filters I've used in the past

This air filter works great for a home or office air purifying system. The size that I ordered fits my AprilAire air purifyer perfectly. The filter comes in a smaller box because the filter is folded like an accordion. When you get it, you just pull out out of the box and it unfolds to the required 16 x 25 x 4 inch size with no effort at all. I would recommend it.

The AprilAir Merv16 air filter #416 removes upto 99% of asthma triggers such as pollen, mold, bacteria, dander, dust and dust mites, smoke and pollution particles along with viruses. Being summer in the North West we get a lot of wild fire smoke making the air quality into the hazardous range. I love how easily they fit into the air cleaner, with the interlock rail system to lock the expanded filter into place top and bottom. The self seal technology also ensures no air passes the air filter with out passing through. I suggest keeping the filter box by your air filter for 2 reasons, 1 you will know which filter you used last time for when its time to replace, and 2, you can collapse the used dirty filter back into the box to carry all of the dirt and dust out of your home. I also love how the filter box is only 4¼"x5½" by 29½" long, so you can easily store an extra filter if needed. For best air flow AprilAir recommends replacing every 6 months.

Does a great job filtering outdoor air for my ERV

I use this MERV 16 filter as my fresh air supply filter for my home before it goes into my ERV. I live near a large airport and near an Interstate, so outdoor air quality in the area is not great. This outdoor air goes through an Aprilaire 2416 with this 216 filter at a low velocity with an ERV that works 24x7. I get about a year's worth of usage before it needs replacement and this filter comes out downright nasty with the soot, dirt and bugs that it has captured. My ERV MERV 8 incoming air filter remains spotless since the aprilaire is the one doing the hard work.

I love this airfilter. I have bad alergies and this filter really seems to help. It seems to catch more dust and stuff that will triger my alergies. I also have dogs and it helps with that as well. The filter is east to install. The plastic sides are designed to list into the filter box that will need to be installed in your HVAC system. Definatly like these filters and this bran really work really well

Interesting presentation of a typical MERV 13 furnace filter. The filter folds up making it easier to ship or pickup. However these AprilAire filters only work in a short list of filter canisters. This filter is a 16 x 25 x 4 inch filter that neatly folds up to a 4 x 4 x 4 inch package. It makes for a nice package but I don’t think I’ll bother with it in the future.

I have the Aprilaire system installed in my home. I have used the 413 filter for two years and have been very happy with the amount of dust it filters out while there is no noticeable decrease in air flow. My current filter is the 413 cbn while incorporates charcoal in the filter to help with odors. This 416 filter has the charcoal plus it is designed to filter out 98 percent of virus sized particles plus 99 per cent of dust and odors. The cost is about the same as the 413 CBN filter.,thus , in my opinion, is is a no-brainer to buy the 416 filter and get the additional virus filtration. With the Covid virus constantly mutating , I believe every precaution is necessary

New house last fall, so time to replace the air filters in the furnaces. This filter was just what was needed for one of the furnaces. Comes packaged ready to install. Installation is easy, just put each side of the filter into the tracks in the furnace and slide into position. The filter is labeled with the correct air flow direction so that you put the filter into the furnace in the correct orientation that the filter works correctly. This is probably a 6 month filter under normal conditions. Good value.
