Perfect For Our Space

The space over my garage would be wasted without something like this. Especially bc I have a support beam in that area too. I got this one because I saw it approved by Mike Holmes, it has a heavier load capacity and I liked the length of the supports which ended up making it easy to install. I probably measured more than I needed to, but it turned out great. The 27” length was ideal for the space over my garage door. My joists are 24” and it just worked out. For the instructions, they were mostly good but could have been a little more clear in areas or gave tips. For one it uses 46.3 inches and 94.3 for measurements. what is “.3” of an inch? I used a touch more than 5/16, but 5/16 would be good. As it turned out it just needed the holes for the drop down bars to be available under these measurements, something to watch out for bc you can bolt or space the support bar in a lot of ways with the length and number of holes in the bars (one of my drop down holes was slightly off bc it just wasn’t something I was thinking about but it makes sense when you start putting the drop down supports up). I put one side support brackets on one joist (parallel) and the other side perpendicular which gave room to slide left and right and back and forth if needed. I also put nails in my marks for the 4 corners and used a chalk string tied tightly around the nails to mark my straight lines to measure from. The long side does not sit under the 96” joist, it’s couple inches short of that so just make sure when you put the support bracket up there is a whole for the drop down bars to go into at the 94.3 mark. Oh and my wife helped otherwise I would have been up and down the ladder a lot and the long sides would have been difficult to measure and probably install. Thats about it. I have another side of my garage that will probably get another one of these unless we come up with something creative.

Very sturdy rack. Fairly easy to put up and looks great in my garage and now I can store all of our Holliday decorations up out there for the way. I highly recommend.

Great product! We have this above the hood of our Ford Expedition and now we have a ton of extra storage space while still being able to park the Expedition in our small garage. Highly recommend!

Great Storage solution

Sturdy, quality, easy installation

A bit difficult to understand instructions and install but now that said and done, the shelf is sturdy and holds a lot. Exactly what we needed to extend our limited storage space in our new home and garage.

Worth the effort. The finished product is great.

The quality of the product is great. The installation instructions were a bit lacking, but we used a little logic and common sense to finish the job. I was able to clear a lot of stuff from my garage floor and get it up out of the way. I was able to park my car in the garage for the first time.

Newage VersaRac Pro installed well. I love the solid construction and higher than average weight limit. I also prefer the four post versus competitors six, less drilling. Also appreciate the lip to prevent items sliding off and falling onto my cars. Only thing is some of the accessories are quite expensive. Overall great buy and Home Depot was early in delivery. really good quality, awesome customer service

ordered this New Age rack for our new house and it's really good quality. it's super sturdy and well made. everything about it feels high-quality. the instructions were easy to follow and even the holes for assembly were spot on. all the bits and pieces like bolts and screws were good too. had to call the company about something and they were awesome about it. really happy with both the product and the company.

Easy installation. I put it up by myself in less than 2 hours.

This versa rack is easy to assemble the mounting hardware that comes with the new Versa rack pro is much better than the old versa rack hardware both are easy to assemble I also have installed the husky brand 4x8 rack the husky rack is much harder to assemble all three of the racks are quality racks but if I were to advise as to the best it would be the versa rack pro because of the simplicity of assembly and installation

Takes two people

The product received as advertised and met our desire of having more space in our garage. What I didn't like about was there aren't any written instructions, only picture drawings which were a little confusing. It definitely is easier to assemble with two people.

Not a deal

I paid $83 for an identical one on another site. $260 is not a deal.

WRONG Instructions/Assembly Posted

Home Depot has posted the WRONG Instructions/Assembly. I was wanting the wire racks to wrap over the edge braces, as this manual shows, but the manual is for the VersaRac, NOT the VersaRac Pro. The pictures are correct, but when they did not match the Assembly Manual, I assumed the manual was correct, not realizing there was a different manual for the Pro version, found here: https://newageproducts.com/support-hub/versarac/

Our new house has a 3 car garage that barely...

Our new house has a 3 car garage that barely holds 2 cars so I needed to clear the floor space. My wife is a decorating queen so I had to use one 4x8 unit just for her fall and Halloween decor and another one for the excess. They work well and I would highly recommend this product.

Looks good and get the stuff off the floor

It is holding up well and looks great above my door. It took me much longer to put up then I first thought but it was worth the time and energy.
