Beautiful and Decretive

I love this for the price. It's simple design (battery operating) makes it carefree. It is is tall and sturdy. The pendulum swings and it looks beautiful. Knew it was quiet from other reviews, but when in the same room it sounds very nice. Very happy with this purchase.

I was hesitant to buy it at first because I was afraid it was too dark for the room. Turns out it's actually a bit lighter than the pictures seem. It is gorgeous. The time is a little off, maybe a minute per week, but not terrible. Nearly everyone comments on it. I love it.

I absolutely love this clock! For the price I paid, it is fantastic, a beautiful piece of furniture. It was very easy to put together, something most anyone could do. The only negative I find is that I wish the chimes were a little I would certainly purchase it again. What a great wedding or special anniversary gift this would make.

I have always wanted a Grandfather clock and I saw this one on Overstock and the reviews were really good and the price was sold me on it. When I received it I was so impressed with the quality & it really looks expensive. It keeps accurate time & the chimes are not too loud. I am happy with your order!

Pretty clock

I feel the price is too high for this clock, but it is pretty, and I like the color. It is pretty sturdy, and they give you a tool to keep the clock connected to the wall so it doesn't fall. Kids or big animals may make it tip. The pendulum swings, and you can select how you want the chime to sound, it has 3 selections. It also has a volume button, but at max volume it's quiet, hard to hear. The clock does not chime at night, but there is no am or pm button, and I put this clock together at night along with putting in the batteries. Since I put in the batteries at night, it chimes at night and not during the day. I had to take the batteries out to "reset," so when it chimes, it chimes during the day.

I have always wanted a grandfather clock and was so happy to see this listed on Overstock. We purchased this for our living room and the color matches the legs on our other furniture perfectly. It is a very dark colored wood. The assembly was very quick and easy. The wood carvings on the clock are deep and clear and everyone who has seen it was surprised at how much we paid for it. The chime isn't very loud is the only thing we aren't happy with. I had read in other reviews that it wasn't loud, so we were expecting that. For the price though, you definitely can live with it. The pendulum and weight system are just for looks, but they look great when in place (they are very light weight though). The clock looks beautiful and keeps time well and that is what we bought it for. If the sound would be louder, this would be a perfect affordable grandfather clock. It's close enough though for me, that's why I gave it the five stars. It's not enough for me to knock it down to a four star.

Clock is beautiful but only gets a 4 star. The chimes are very soft and can hardly be heard. Also the sticky tape used to secure the glass while shipping is a nightmare to remove.

Back panel is very flimsy particle board

Back panel would not fit in the pre cut slot due to improper cut, and also has damage as if someone else had returned it. The clock looks pretty from a distance until you touch it then you can feel how cheaply made it is.

Chimes are so low it is like not having a grand father clock. Even with the back off the chimes are hardly heard. Disappointed!!!
