Once assembled this is a lovely piece of furniture. Downsize are the instructions. Carefully read and follow the pictures. There are no designated "steps" merely diagrams. The piece for the back is marked top side it does not have the words top edge of back. After screwing everything in we discovered that it should have been top edge. Rather than repositioning it, we figured the inches from the "bottom " and attached it to the various shelves.
Nice bookcase,very big. The backing could be better, thin wood taped together, didn’t love that.
This piece looks amazing in my living room, and is the perfect size for my library collection. Very happy with this purchase and the price was right in my budget!
Decent set of shelves, arrived damaged but my very skilled husband was able to repair it. Very surprised it wasn't even more damaged because delivery was terrible, boxes almost destroyed and left in the middle of my driveway without notification, even though I was supposed to sign for it.

I have purchased five matching bookshelves to provide room for my library, and I am very pleased with this product. It is well built and should support the hundreds of books I have in a much better manner than some of the other shelving I have used in the past. I am very pleased and will likely buy more!!
The back of the bookcase arrived damaged and looks very bad. I was told the manufacturer would reach out to me for a replacement but I never heard from them.
Beautiful bookcase, but very heavy
This is a very solid (meaning heavy) bookcase. However, assembly was fairly straightforward and it is really very attractive. Depending on how strong you are, you may need help both bringing the boxes to the desired location and standing it up once you are done with the assembly.
The assembly instructions were not difficult to follow. The library bookcase is well built, and not flimsy. We are happy with it.
