Gasket Never Seals

I suppose these are a great idea and there are other reviews that say they are a good product. However I have never gotten the gasket to seal around the edges. The screw mounts are molded at the same level as the gasket so you can never ever tighten it enough to get the gasket to press against your electrical box seal properly. I have purchased 15 of these and every single one I have had to seal with silicone. And the gasket is polyurethane so it is one time use because they smash permanently. So whenever I do an upgrade or a change out of a outlet or switch I have to install a brand new gasket with silicone. So far these have been a tremendous joke and a waste of money. It's a terrible design.

Had to attach the cover BEFORE installation which hampered ease of attachment. Also wish I had had option to attach lid vertically OR horizontally. The outdoor outlet I was covering was about 10' off the ground.....

Waterproof Cover Doesn't Work Any Chords Installed

The advertising info shows a chord pluged into a recepticle using this cover. It can't do it unless the chord is a size 18 or smaller . They don't sell a 2 gang deeper than 3 1/2" or so. Chords don't allow the cover to closeS YOU CAN SEE. Maybe the single gang covers might work but I doubt it.

Not For GFCI

The opening is not wide enough to accommodate two GFCI outlets. According to the instructions, it comes "Pre-configured for GFCI". Neither is it tall enough unless the ground screws on this particular outlet are screwed in all the way, leaving no room for wire.

I used this to make an outdoor multi- outlet extension cord. Closed up the box great. Keeps the rain out.

Latch doesn't work. Design flaw

Tolerance to make latch work are off. Company needs to redesign so ensure latch will engage and not loosely hang beneath.
