Not built like they used to be, but still decent

Generally very good. I bought this after the glass shattered in an older Coleman lamp we had. I like the fact that the new one has a rigid case, as well as a stand with fold-out feet. It was a shame however that it was not in the traditional Coleman green, but in black, and used much more plastic in the valve mechism. I also feel that the quality in the gas valve is not what it used to be. It is obvious that the manufacture of these lamps has been outsourced overseas. Overall a decent purchase however, considering the general deterioration in the quality of products overall, an unfortunate reality that is not limited to Coleman.

The is light pretty bright and it last pretty much all night. Its great that it not only has light but give off a pretty decent amount of heat as well. If dropped the glass will shatter but i think you can buy replacements but if not its not to pricey justin buying another one.

Great Product

As good as advertised. Easy to set up and start using. Lights a large area, and each canister of propane last a long time, the maximum says 14 hours but seems like it is more than that. Definitely recommend!

Same Coleman as always

Gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because I didn’t realize I was ordering model without self igniter, nowhere on the website that I recall even listed that as an option. That being said it’s a very fine lantern.

Defective paint / coating

Ceramic coating was damaged on the top where the ventilator screw down. This will rust quickly due to raw metal being exposed and heated then cooled.

Love this lantern I've had these all my life even as a kid. I'd never buy another brand. This is a long lasting great product.

This things works really well. The few that we have been passed down to me from my great grandfather who loved night fishing. Lights up great……..

Works well. Once you understand how to work it, it works flawless. Used mainly for camping, been 3 years now. Burns bright and stays on for a good amount of time. Would not hesitate to buy again

Great camping lantern. A lot brighter than I thought it would be. Only downside it’s that it’s pretty fragile even inside if it’s hard case. When packing, the case toppled out of my trunk and the entire lamp shattered.
