Not a great product

This was a disappointing experience. The top of 2 of the metal legs is bent, so they don’t screw in properly, and many of the screws stripped in the composite wood. The desk is barely functional - and after putting it completely together and calling customer care about the issues, they wanted me to disassemble and return it for any kind of refund. I’m pretty bummed.

Lots of storage, goes well with bedroom office.

Nice clean look, lots of storage space. Distressed wood looks modern and works well with bedroom furniture. Metal legs give it an industrial vibe.

Very poor design for assembly. Disappointing.

They say you get what you pay for, and that’s sure true with this! I had high hopes after unboxing it and seeing what looked to be a nice solid desk top and stylish legs. However, there are seriously flaws with the assembly. First, they didn’t bother to drill pilot holes, they just imprinted the slightest divots in the desktop. So not only is it very hard to see where your meant to drill, especially while navigating two large, cumbersome pieces of wood, but it’s very hard to get the screws in at the right angle especially between the main desktop and the upper riser where you have less room to navigate a drill or screwdriver. Secondly, the provided screws are very short, so if you’ll have real problems with the cheap particle board breaking around the screw and rendering it useless if you push too hard or go in at even a few degrees at the wrong angle. I’m very handy and have frequently assembled flat pack furniture so I’d think twice about this if you’re not and don’t have someone to help. In addition, the label stuck onto the desk ripped off the veneer even with gentle removal. Finally, the veneer on one of the corners was already peeling and dented upon opening. Super disappointed in the thoughtless design for what could have been the perfect desk.

Would NOT recommend

I ordered this desk in classic oak and am extremely dissatisfied. After spending numorous hours yesterday trying to assemble this desk we’ve determined that the premarked holes meant for the screws are completely misaligned. After screwing the legs onto the top tier shelf pannel in their designated spots as the instruction state, the second teir (the main desk portion of wood) does not fit/slide into the legs to attach it as the legs are too close together. I've never left a review in my life but in the case I do not want another person to have to go through this frustration. I was also not logged into my Walmart account when I placed this order (first online order from Walmart) and because of this I am unable to even apply for a refund/return. Extremely disappointed with the experience all around as I have put together most every other piece of furniture I own without issue.

Sturdy, good value, slightly larger than box says

It's fairly easy to assemble. I was able to do it by myself, albeit requiring some weird yoga contortions to manage it. The top part is slightly warped, not enough to be a real pain, but suitable for storing round objects. When it's assembled, the back legs are slightly wider than it says on the box (closer to 50 inches) so keep that in mind if you're trying the fit it in a small space. All that said, it's a sturdy desk, that gets the job done, and is a good value for its price.
