Nice Tub for the money

The tub is great. Has lots of good features with a lot of water movement they the jets. But beware we have had several issues with the pumps. It has 2 pumps, Which in 2 years of owning this tub, both had to be replaced along with a computer board. One pump and the computer board were under warranty and replaced by the manufacturer. The manufacturer is not the easiest to get in touch with BUT it was covid and the parts did finally get replaced. We also live at the beach where the weather is very hard on the computer parts and pool pumps. Price was reasonable and we did get it delivered when promised from Overstock.

This tub has been great for the past 9 months we’ve owned it. Plenty of jet power. We recommend the clear Alvantor 12’ x 12’ or 15’ x 15’ dome tent for over the top. We used it all winter here in Wisconsin and never had snow on the cover and it paid for itself in heating costs savings. Just expect and be prepared to clear the wet heavy snow carefully and have a roll of gorilla clear tape for the cracks and holes that will come from it becoming brittle in sub zero temps. Would definitely recommend this hot tub!

Great Purchase!!!

We just received our Home and Gardens 5 person, 51 jet hot tub. After waiting 3 months for delivery due to Covid complications, I can attest that we have received our unit. The unit was delivered with professionalism and packaged well to deter damage from shipment. The hot tub itself weighs 785 pounds so it took 7 men to move it, without much complication. Upon hooking up the unit we had trouble locating the electrical panel. This was not explained well in the instructions so we spent ample time just trying to locate the control panel. After removing nearly all the casing, and doing a little research, we found the electrical panel to be located under the control switch in the panel directly underneath. This seems to make sense now in hindsight but we honestly were clueless as to where it would be located and directions were of no use. Upon removing the screws to the panel, we immediately located the control box and wires. Wiring of the unit was easy and actual wiring and installation only took approximately 30 minutes. Filled with water, which took approximately 45 minutes to fill. The temperature started out at 70 degrees and is up to 80 after an hour. So far the unit appears to be working properly and is exactly what I expected from our new Homes and Gardens hot tub.

Great hot tub for the price. Powerful jets!

I am super impressed with this hot tub. First, the ordering process: I ordered it April 22nd and it arrived on May 27th (the predicted delivery date was 5-7 weeks when I ordered, so it was spot on). They called me Friday May 22nd to set up an appointment to deliver (there was a bit of an extension due to the Memorial day holiday). The hot tub was delivered on a pallet and they were willing to place the pallet wherever I needed it on the blacktop. I contacted a hot tub mover in my area and he was able to move it where I needed it to be for 400 dollars (that took him about 15 minutes. I'm in the wrong business). We did have a bit of a snafu with the electrical (our previous hot tub was set up with 3 wires and this one needs 4 wires) so a bit of electrical work had to be done, but that was due to our setup and to be expected. Once the wiring was adjusted and the tub was filled we were in business. We had zero issues with leaks. We got the white tub. I was a little skeptical about the white at first but I actually love it. The jets are amazing and powerful. At first we were a little confused because they didn't seem that powerful, but pump #1 has two settings, and the knobs on the side have to be adjusted to how you want the jets directed. Basically, don't act like we did, just read the manual before tweaking everything around. The feet jets are awesome and super powerful. There were some comments that were negative notes about the cabinet not having blown in insulation. According to my hot tub guy (who would have charged me more to fix the last hot tub than this new hot tub cost because of the blown in insulation) you absolutely DO NOT want the cabinet filled with blown in insulation. If there's a leak with the pipes (common issue), it's super difficult to pull out all of that insulation to find the leak (hence why it would have cost me so much to repair the last hot tub). He highly recommended purchasing a tub with the insulation around the tub but not filling the cabinet, then adding pieces of normal fiberglass insulation into the spaces in the cabinet (that can then be easily removed if there are issues with leaking pipes). In fact when I asked him what he recommended in a hot tub, it was the one thing he said. Some people noted that the buttons are a little hard to push. They're slightly stiff but if you push from the top down, I've not had issues getting them to work. Overall, amazing for the price.

You cannot beat the price for what you get. I researched many hot tubs in person and online and on craigslist. Buying from overstock is good but they are difficult to get any different information than you already know by reading about the item. Things like has it shipped yet? or will they bring it in the backyard? The delivery guys with a couple of sheets of plywood already at hand and the fence down put it in the exact spot we requested. Don't forget to tip them. Anyway we have had it for a month and all is good. It takes some getting used to about the chemicals and keeping it clean. The computer head is a newer head that was not even in the instructions upon delivery inside the hot tub panel. I called and they emailed the newer instructions. If yo have never had a hot tub the instructions are very limited. Like how to turn on the filter. But it does not say why or how long or when I should turn on the filter. I guess I am just supposed to know these things. Get to know your local pool store. They will be a big help in getting everything just right. Everybody should shower before entry but they don't. I built steps out of redwood in two hours. Looks nice. Cover is really a nice unit. Make sure you put the clips on. Lot's of jets in this unit with double pumps. We keep it at 99 degrees and turn it on about an hour before use. 104 is very hot. My better half likes 102. Couples will LOVE THIS!! Follow up after 5 years. We still love the hot tube and will still give it five stars but there has been some problems. Both pumps went out . The first after about two years the second a year later. They leaked. They might have been under warranty but they were made in china. I was not going to put chinese junk back in. So I purchased the best pumps I could buy . About $ each and installed them. All good. The cover is worn out but that's expected. It's a four by two. Now I have ordered a six by four. There's a leak at the filter canister that I am working on now. Other than that we love it or should I say my wife loves it the best.

Having 2 pumps is great when you only have one person in you can just use one pump and when you have multiple people in the tub the second pump makes everyone happy with how strong the jets are. The cover that comes with it is very nice and can be locked into place. Make sure you have help when it arrives though. It is dropped off in the driveway and I had to help the driver get it off the truck. We had some movers get it from our driveway to our deck because it is really heavy and awkward to move. Overall we couldn’t be happier with it and got it for much less than other hot tubs we were looking at.

So many jets massaging your whole body at once with different strengths adjustable. When you order make sure you call for white glove service ($50) if you need the delivery to be done to a spot other than your driveway. Makes life a lot easier since it's so big and heavy. Very happy after the first two months. No complaints. We understood we weren't buying a Cadillac of hot tubs but it certainly feels like it is!

Its not going to hold up to the elements. The metal bars keep coming out, the flaps don't line up right leaving heat out, there are loose threads on the seams, and the material is thin. The next problem was delivery they were on time but they were not equipped to unload an eight foot 835 lbs hot tub. They parked in the middle of a busy road to unload. I asked them to back into my driveway just far enough to be off the road but they would not. The lift gate was 5 feet wide and the hot tub physically would not fit on it. We ended up pushing the hot tub onto the back of my truck to get it off their truck . We backed up my driveway to my garage while they steadied it. They asked for me to sign the invoice and said you own it and left. Now I had a 835 lbs hot tub on the bed of my pickup and have to figure out how to get it off. With a few friends we lifted it off and unpacked it. We found some hidden damage on a side skirt corner. I contacted Over stock the same day, sent pictures, and requested a replacement corner. The rep was very helpful but 2 weeks later I still have a broken corner with no replacement in sight. Overall nice hot tub but beware of delivery and the cheap cover..

There is plenty of space between people, however, whenever any hot tub says 3 person, 5 person, etc....understand that to have that many people in the hot tub, they would have to be sitting side by side with each other. Hooked it up to electric easily and once we filled it and turned it on there was a slow drip from one of the air jets....a seal issue. Called the manufacturer and they sent a new jet and a company to fix it and were so so helpful. Susan and Melissa of LPI were amazing to me and called months later to make sure all was still well. Using a first time customer coupon to purchase such an amazing tub was great. It is a nice looking tub with pearl interior and espresso outter shell. Heats up quickly, and is just amazing. I had looked into so many tubs and never thought I could get one this nice online. Saved a lot of $$$ and couldn’t be happier with it 7 months later.

Great pricing! Very nice tub! Some minor issues.

I was a little hesitant to buy without seeing the tub first. I went ahead with Overstock because of the price. The spa I received was a Home and Garden HG-71. There is a long wait because it appears they don't stock the hot tubs. The tub was ordered to be built at the factory after I placed the order according to customer service. Leisure Products Inc. builds H&G tubs as well as many other brands. Shipping was from the factory direct to my curb. There was no helpful option when the delivery truck came. It was to the curb at the street-- period. Waving cash didn't help either. The crate and pallet were almost completely destroyed when it was dropped off. Very weak pallet and crating for the weight. It is crated and delivered standing on it's side also, ready to tip over on the broken pallet. I had to find rocks near the road to make it stand up. No damage to the tub though after uncrating. I suggest setting up a local tilt-flat bed, wrecker service for a few dollars if you want the tub off-loaded easily and placed somewhere. I didn't have a wrecker service planned. I did have 3 people to help, but this tub is 860 pounds. It was a struggle for 4 to get around the house and up onto my deck. Consider the high cost of electrical work ahead of time. The electrical parts and work is fairly expensive. The tub had residual water in it when delivered, so I assume it was tested. After filling and turning it on, there was a leak in a 2" PVC joint where glue hadn't been applied correctly. I called Overstock, who only gave me the name of the manufacturer and wished me good luck. Not an acceptable response for a defective, three day old, $ purchase from Overstock. The reason for an acceptable rating here is only is due to the good warranty service I received at LPI. I made contact with LPI's service department. The service person was very helpful. I e-mailed him a picture of the leak, he offered to send a local spa service person and parts to fix it. I opted to have them send the parts in a box to me and I cut out the leaky joint, then re-assembled and glued the new parts in myself. Overall, great hot tub, looks nice, everything I wanted for the price and more. I use it every day, including just yesterday at -2 degrees. Cost to keep it hot and ready outside is negligible. Comes with a soft cover which appears to keep everything well insulated.

Heaven

I love the look of the cabinetry on the outside and makes it look very high end. The cover is very nice as well and great quality. I'm 6'5 and was expecting to not fit comfortably in the lay down section but I do! And it is very comfortable. The deepest part in the center could be just a bit deeper for me but for normal height people it is perfect. The foot jet is also one of the most relaxing things I have experienced ever. The only not perfect thing which is minor is the control panel. Even if you don't have the built in speaker option it still comes in the control panel if you want to add one later on. Since there aren't very many buttons the temperature button multi functions and can do about 10 different things the only semi irritating thing is when you press the buttons and hold if you go 1 too far you have to keep pushing like crazy to get around again to get back to what you want to do. Overall though for the price and quality this doesn't even take away from the rating. Shipping company isn't the best to work with either, however this isn't the products fault. Overall I am super happy with this so far use it daily and would recommend to anyone.

Great hot tub and good value

I've had this hot tub for one week and have been in it every day except one. So far it has been better than anticipated. I was looking for a tub that would massage my feet and legs and this is the one. It has a very large jet with multiple outlets in the bottom that works great and really does hit all the leg and feet area. It's early and I may change my mind but I really like this unit so far. This is the second hot tub I've owned and I would definitely recommend this unit. It hooked up quickly to my existing wiring. I had it running in about one hour. The only reason for not giving a 5-star rating is it is too soon. I did have one negative for Overstock. They offered a 12% discount coupon on my first purchase. They also advertised free interest for a period of time if I took out their credit card. I went though the application process, was approved, but then wasn't given the free interest with the discount coupon. That was disappointing because if wasn't really free interest if I wasn't able to take advantage of my 12% discount. A real bummer.
