Falls apart quickly

We loved this door at first. However, a few months in the screen peeled away from the frame, leaving a giant gap in the bottom of the door. Screen tape worked as a patch, but didn't hold it for more than a couple weeks at a time. Less than 2 years after purchasing, the rolling function has completely broken. Hindsight is always 20/20, and I wish we would have gone with a traditional screen door.

Wearing Too Soon

The installation was simple. I like that. The screen does a very good job of keeping out bugs - better than my window screens or slider screens. I like that. And it looks great. Or it did.

Not awful, not great

Narrows doorway by 4 inches as sides sit inside walkway even though they could have been moved out since screen frame sits in front of door framing, bottom rail is an issue for walker or wheelchair. Did not slide together, needed rubber mallet so took longer than 30 minutes just for assembly. Should’ve been made to size, adjustable for 32 to 36 cheapens it with extenders and it’s not real sturdy to begin with. Does not close all the way when latched, counts on that black fuzzy stuff to keep bugs out along the edge.

I can enjoy the breeze from my balcony in peace

This is a great screen door. I was looking for something I could use on my 2nd story balcony as my 2nd story is the main living area. I wanted all the natural air flow but without the hassle of flies, mosquitos, etc. It's perfect! Now, I consider myself to be smart and actually quite handy, but this whole 30-minute install is far from the truth lol. Maybe if it's your 2nd or 3rd time installing one, but first try? No. A few YouTube videos and select expletives later, I had it up and assembled to my door frame. It's sturdy and very sleek. Glad I picked this over some other options.

product may or may not be available as advertised

I order 2 of these screens because they were said to be in stock. I received 1 on the day that was scheduled, but the other one didn't come until a week later. Lowes notified me that the screen was delivered but in fact it had not been. I had to call Lowes, and was on hold for 48 minutes, to get the delivery company to bring the screen out. Finally they brought it out, the driver was very polite but since he stuck it in his car he scratched the what frame. I didn't notice this until the next day when I was removing it for the packing. I'm going to keep it as I don't have time to go through any more delays or issues with Lowes. This seems to be a common theme with suppliers of goods, they bank on us being too busy to address issues that come up and so we just accept things as they are and move on. Maybe I call my CC and pay them only half off what they want until they get tired of trying to collect the full amount.

I love it...but

Since Covid, I have a office shed in my backyard and added this screen about 2 years ago, well, I also foster a lot of dogs and while I'm working, they love hanging out in the shed and in the backyard...well, I have squirrels that show up and you know dogs and squirrels. I just had my second screen run thru and it is trashed. I'm so sad with summer coming but hopefully can get a replacement for just the screen rolling part, they helped me do that before at Larson. Paws Crossed. Great screen, a little challenging for a non handy person to install, but well worth it. Just watch your pets! Foster culprit in photos.

Really great design

You definitely need at least 2 people to assemble and install this. I am very impressed with it so far. For us the installation process took a little over and hour. I personally think the design is really great. It fits flush with our door and looks great. The screen does come out of the track just a little with wind gusts, but when you close the screen slowly and carefully, it goes right back in with no issues. We took our time to make sure it fit exactly the way it should. We did have to flip the latch around and move it slightly up,but that was very easy. We opted to get a drill bit to install the foot plate, which made it easier as well. I think, when installed correctly and taken care of, this will last a long while and be perfect for our front door.

Decent

Bottom plate seems cheap, for $200 it should have a better sill plate. The screen also has dark lines across it. Stop trying to accommodate the not so smart people and take the dark lines out of the screen.

Needs free door jamb

If you have casing covering the space between the siding and the door jamb it will have to be removed. I chose to install a 3/4 in furring strip to mount the door on, nailed to the inside edge of the jamb. The screen is great but undoubtedly designed for siding that butts up against the jamb without casing.

More work than expected but overall nice product

the door latch seems to be short it takes more effort to close then one would expect. They should probably mention there are screws which you can loosen on bottom of bracket to help slide the rails in place. Also they should mention if your door jamb is not perfectly square you may need shims to shore up. Certainly took more than 30 minutes. 30 minutes if you have done one before. but overall i'm satisfied with the look and end result.

Fast Installation

Read directions first! Must attach threshold before you screw on. Don't think you can skip reading, lol. The only issue we have, because we have a lot of wind at times, and if we are using the screen with the wind, the screen slackens and comes out of the bottom track. This shouldn't be an issue without wind. Otherwise, pretty good.

Incomprehensible

Door is advertised to fit doors between 32"-36" with no modifications but the top and bottom tracks come from the manufacturer at 33". Will need to cut just to fit a 32" door. Also there is no disclaimer in this product description or on the packaging that this will not work on a stucco exterior - they let you unpackage the whole thing and struggle with the directions until in desperation you flip to the last page where the FAQ informs you of your poor choice earlier that day when you purchased this door. Buy a fly swatter - its cheaper and works with all exteriors.

Yay, airflow!

This was pretty easy to put together, the longest part was figuring out what to cut (was afraid I'd mess up) for our 29.5" door opening.

Worked great for the first 6 months

I bought it and had a professional install this. It worked great for about the first 6 months. Back in December I contacted your customer support and was basically told it wasn’t level but it is level and top retracts at different time than the bottom does. This was checked by a professional to be sure it’s level. Also screen no longer stays in track and bugs can come in the house. Now I have to fork out money for a new regular screen door and the cost to install it. I am very disappointed. I am an elderly widow without extra money to go through this again.

Love my screen door!

Only four screws to install! Once I figured out the mechanics of the door; I installed it in 15 minutes! Works exactly as I’d hoped and even has a lock! It fit my old door frame perfectly! And now I have a cross breeze in my home. I highly recommend.

Cross breezes pops screen out.

If there is any sort of cross breeze from another open door or window, the screen pops out at the top. so The screen is taut at the bottom but rolled looser at the top and comes out. I’ve called the manufacturer and read reviews of other brands. It appears to be a common problem with a lot of these retractable doors. Seems like an easy fix would be to have a wider channel where the screen fits at the top and bottom.

Very poor design

I would give this screen 0 stars if I could. I wish I would have read the review prior to purchasing and installing this door. The screen material comes out of the track at the top and bottom with the slightest breeze and is easily pushed out by my cats making it impossible to keep my cats and small dog safe inside. I have to use a pet gate when I open my door and close the screen and it does nothing to keep pests from coming inside. Completely useless and very disappointing. Waste of time and money.

Not as easy as it looks.

Nice door! Relatively simple to assemble & install. However, the top & bottom rails are easy to attach to the screen side. But attaching to the other side is tricky. They have to line up exactly. Give yourself a little extra time & a having a helper is a good idea!

Perfect for slanting roof

We have wanted something for the front door for years, but with a slanted porch roof, we couldn't put up a storm door. This sliding retractable screen was perfect for letting in the breeze. Only 4 stars because it would have been nice if screen had a seam or something thicker at top and bottom so it would stay in track a little better. Overall perfect for what I needed.

Took more than 30 minutes but great once assembled

Decided to tackle this while my husband was asleep. One less honey-do for him. I suppose I could've done it in 30 minutes but it took about an hour to get the tracks to connect to the main frame. I'm pretty good with assembling things and I was losing patience because they don't just "click in". It kept hitting a barrier. Finally one side clicked in and I don't know how I did it. In the end, I realized I had to angle the track for it to get past the barrier. Once the frame was assembled, mounting it to door frame was piece of cake. The screen glides nicely and securely. Luckily I did not have to cut anything because my door was 35" wide. A hack saw would have been required if it were less than 32 inches. Only needed drill gun to install. Suggest manufacturer makes modification to frame assembly or at least notated it in the instructions.
