simply love my electrictea kettle its fancy and simple to use

Poor quality, breaks at 9 months

The kettle was inexpensive, but at 9 months the switch no longer turns it on. Warranty is only 30 days. There is a serious design flaw, probably caused the failure: If you boil water then pour it all out, but forget to turn the switch off, coil will stay on forever. If there is enough water in the kettle, an auto-shutoff will turn it off if you forget. But not if kettle is empty. And it's easy to forget to turn it off. Several times I left it on all night. That can't be good for the coil.

Excellent kettle and a great value. Really like the blue light when heating the water. This is my second one.

Love it just wish I could have gotten a smaller size...this size is big and bulky ...I only use it for one person.

Don't buy Mega Chef Electric Kettle

I will never buy this product again. I purchased the mega Chef electric kettle in July. it worked great until a few weeks ago when I noticed the button to open the lid would not allow the lid to close without wiggling the button. Then last week the automatic shutoff would not shut off causing the water to continue to boil. I tried to manually turn off the button but steam was coming out the button and the handle was so hot, I burnt my hand. This is a safety hazard!

Beautiful kettle, works great, very nice. Only had for a few weeks but it is what I wanted.

Hair line crack after one time use. Line glass cheaply made.

After a number of years of excellent service from our former MegaChef tea kettle model, we chose this as a replacement because of the glass pour spout. We've used this kettle for about three weeks, and it has performed perfectly so far. We do prefer the glass spout design to the earlier plastic one, as the water touches only glass and metal surfaces when it's heated and poured. This kettle also empties more easily and completely than the former model.

This is the second time I've purchased MegaChef branded electric kettles. Each one only lasted about a year before the button to turn it on and off stopped working. It worked great up until a day ago (roughly one year after purchase) and now won't turn on.

Leaking

If I could exchange it, it would be great. It is leaking each time I use it, I burned myself a few times already, the table is always covered with water when I used it.

It is fast and easy to use and it is better for hot tea and instant coffe than a microwave.
