Just put it together yesterday. It is about half the size I figured it would be, but in looking at the dimensions I mis judged it. It was fairly easy to put together. Took me about an hour. Pieces fit into each other and then you screw them together. Purchased for my 2 year old grandchild. Cute, was exactly as pics described, just wish was bigger. Not sure knowing this if I would purchase again at the price it is. Seems a bit expensive for what you get. The instructions were very easy to read.

Love this cute house!

This was a present for my daughter for her second birthday. She absolutely loves opening the door and windows, reading a book at the little chair and having her own little oasis outside. Very sturdy and easy to put together.

Fills up with water

Quality and functionality are great. However the walls and base have been filling up with water every time it rains and does not drain out. Customer service rep told me to drill small holes in it to get the water to come out. I feel like water should not be able to get in so easily without getting out easily on its own. Paid a lot of money just to drill holes into it and junk it up.

Rather small and very hard to keep complete. Leaves, rain, bugs, etc collect on the inside floor of this house and you need to turn it upside down to clean it and frequently. Flower window sill pot has no holes in the bottom so it collects rain and flowers will die if you don’t drill the bottom out. Stickers peel off in no time. Although cute, it’s rather small for the money and I wouldn’t recommend this one. My daughter was 3 when this was purchased. The height inside is more suitable for a 1 or 2 year old walker.

My great granddaughter absolutely LOVES it! It's durable (withstands New England winters) and she plays with it constantly when she's here! Even during the cold winter months, she asks to go outside to play with it.

This is a Christmas present for my 2 year old granddaughter. I have ordered products like this in the past that have been great quality. Unfortunately, it won't be built until after Christmas so I cannot comment. But always happy with Step 2 products.

We love this playhouse! I love the open windows so I can easily keep an eye on our child. I set it up by myself in the summer and it took one and a half very sweaty hours, and two giant blisters from the 9 million screws - worth it. It’s been less than a month, but so far so good.

Wonderful Playhouse

My granddaughter loved it. It does take sometime to put together. The directions are great but the process will definitely be made easier with an extra pair of hands (to hold things while you drill) and an electric drill. Set aside about 2 hours. It will be worth the effort. Seeing my granddaughters face Christmas morning was well worth the effort of this grandma.

Our grandchildren love this playhouse! The phone and doorbell are a huge hit. It was easy to put together (using a drill makes it simple) and offers many options for imaginative play. Having a solid floor rather than grass is a plus for snacks and crafts. Just a heads up, the doorbell requires two triple A batteries.

Great for 18 month old

My 18 month old LOVES this house. Opening and closing the windows and door, pressing the working doorbell, pointing to the clock and photo frame. It is small, for me, i was able to go inside (barely) but he has plenty of room. It fits nicely in my mulch bed and I love that it has a floor but I need to see how it does with rain, there are not holes in the bottom, so I'm not sure if it will collect water.

Perfect little cottage playhouse! First off, communication from Wayfair on its delivery was great. It arrived in two separate shipments without a flaw. My husband and I unpacked it and we put it together in an hour and 15 minutes (a drill is a must). We had no problems whatsoever. It is not huge and will be easy to move if necessary. It is an adorable cottage, complete with seat, play grill and sink, flower box, half door, window shutters, mail slot, pretend fireplace, cell phone, and a working doorbell. It's made of a durable plastic and seems very solid once assembled. We our sure our two year-old grand daughter will love it!

My daughter found her new secret reading place. Because of the hard plastic construction this can be used for outdoors and indoors. We chose to keep it inside and its a great addition to our play area. Since its made of hard plastic installation is straightforward but would be much easier with power tools. It comes in neutral color and has a working shutters and dutch style front door. It has a kitchenette area with seat and play phone comes with it. The fun part is that it has a working doorbell and drop off mail in the pass through mailbox. Everyday my kids play in the cottage and they love playing in it. This is a great house for kids pretend play within a house.

[Rewarded Review] Great for outdoor play!

I have three kids with my oldest being 10 and my youngest being two. They love to play together! I was able to put this cottage together by myself within 20 minutes. The instructions are very easy and clear to read every step of the way. All the pieces are very nice quality and hold up very well outside in the sun and rain! Inside the cottage is a seat so my toddler can pretend to be cooking by the sink and and can grill just out side the window. The is a window on the opposite side with shutters that open and close. The door also open and closes. There is a small phone that is just stickers included that makes the cottage even more homey. The doorbell works when batteries are installed. All three of my kids have spent hours playing together with the cottage and using their imaginations together. This was very easy to put together and is great for outdoor use no matter where you live! I highly recommend this cottage for any young child for indoor or outdoor use!

I have a 4.5 year old girl and two year old twin boys. When first assembled, it seemed much smaller than I would want for outside. However, as it sits in my living room, I'm not offended by its size. The kids don't stay inside the house the whole time they're playing with it. It's pretty bare-bones- no loose accessories to handle except for the phone. I'm not even sure there's a niche for it. Well, all three just love the thing. Fournado spent hours with her dad playing with it, using toys we already have. They all love the loud doorbell. The two year olds spent their time opening and closing the doors and shutters. In hindsight, I don't need or want extra accessory toys. It would be more to clean up. The kids are finding uses for the toys that had been passed over, forgotten in piles of clutter.

The Neat & Tidy Cottage Homestyle Edition in Gray is adorable and so well made! Relatives of ours have the older version but the plastic seems stronger in this version, especially on the roof. The kids love it! It has a little seat with a table looking out from the window, and a pretend grill with sink on the opposite side of the table. I love the fireplace and detail in the flooring. The little rug and hardwood floors molded in is gorgeous! The house is open enough that I can see the kids easily while they play. It is too small for the adults to join in though (maybe smaller adults could fit). It came with a toy telephone to take pretend calls and a mailbox for letters when no one is home. There are opening and closing shutters for when the kids want a little more privacy (or the sun shines in on that side), and a cute, removable window garden box we’re planning to put some small plants in. The electronic ringing doorbell makes for a nice touch as well. The only downside is the white is going to show dirt badly. The beautiful molding on the floor is also going to be a catch all for dust and dirt (dirt kept blowing in while I was trying to assemble it). Inside it should be fine, but be aware it will get pretty dirty if left outdoors. It wasn’t hard to put together (it says 2 hours on the box with 2 people). I did it by myself and didn’t have any problems. It took a bit longer because I was putting the screws in by hand at first. A few tips:

First I will say this really is a cute cottage! My 2 year old loves it and the door bell and phone are a big hit even my 6 year old has been enjoying it both girls have had fun and we have decided to keep it indoors just to save on the plastic heating up outdoors. On a side note plan on it being a bit of planning when you construct it since there are not holes where it screws together it takes a while to get it all done. also the instructions are a bit confusing and have misprints such as it says you need aa batteries but then the picture and later on its aaa batteries also is a little bit of out of order directions so just plan on it being a project but it is overall not too bad and the quality is great

My daughter loves this little playhouse. It easily occupys her for a couple hours at a time. The little phone that came with it is probably her favorite feature, but to have a door with her own doorbell also drives her wild. She loves that she has her own little garden (despite us not putting anything in it yet). All the little details about this house, she notices and loves. Her older siblings (who are too tall for the house) also love to play with her in/around this house.

I got the Neat and Tidy Cottage in the Homestyle Edition in gray. It didnt take us long putting it together. Few places where screws go in were awkward to do but we got it done within 40 mins. Boys kept bugging us wanting it to be done so they could play in it. They loved that the door bell rang after putting in 2 AA batteries. Its nice size and very sturdy. Wasnt sure where to put the phone so we decided to bring in house when not playing so it dont lose it. The kids had so much fun playing and pretending. I like that it is weather resistant and heavy enough to not blow over. The holes are not pre drilled but with force they go in really well. The directions were easy to understand. Its about 45 inches tall and 51 inches wide by 35 inches. Has 1 set of shutters that work, door, mailbox, flower planter, sink, grill, chair, doorbell and fireplace. Super cute and will give so much fun to kiddos.
