I am really disappointed as far as placing batteries in both trees. The plastic bottom of trees had to be actually broken to place batteries in both trees. After that lengthy process, trees appear to be operating okay without the broken plastic bottom. we shall see...just placed new batteries in tonight; I say new, just so people know I didn't use used or mixed batteries.
