I love this grill. This is the second one I’ve owned. I used the first one until it fell apart after about 10 years. I typically use it as a smoker, with a small fire on one end and the meat on the other. Great grill. I was REALLY disappointed with this second purchase, however. A lot of the pieces were bent and required creative use of c clamps to bend pieces into proper shape. Some of the bends could have happened during shipping. But several were clearly factory defect. I would still buy again, but would try to buy from a local retailer, so that I could inspect before buying and to help with returns if needed.

Disappointed

I've had a previous version of the Char-Broil grill and I was generally very pleased with it. This newer version seemed to improve on the previous model but I've become disappointed in how it works. It has no place to hang tools which is very inconvenient. When the cover is raised, it hits the arms that hold the charcoal bed in place and has at times, caused the bed to come loose and fall to the bottom. Also, the bed cannot adjust enough to bring the bed closer to the grill.

it arrived with several dents

the box looked ok, however there were several major dents. many of the pieces needed to be "fixed" before they would fit together. i have pictures of the dents.

This grill is a good value for the price. It’s large and well built. It could benefit from better system for supporting the charcoal tray as well as removing the ash.

We have had this grill for a while now and it has been great. It wasn’t too hard to assemble. It distributes the heat very well so you get a good even cooking surface. It’s easy to clean with the right grill cleaner and it’s large enough to cook enough for a decent size family.

It’s flimsy. Not big either. Not a quality product. Inside not coated rusted. Bent dented paint chipped in places. Not Charbroil either. Really misleading description. Smaller than described. Spend little more get a quality grill.

A great charcoal grill/smoker; bought my first Sante Fe over thirty years ago, - still in use. Assembly of this just purchased was easy. Now, I have twins for great large scale grilling!

I received the item in pretty good shape, with a few bends on some of the corners of the sheet metal for the body of the bbq. They were easily straightened out. All the parts arrived except for a drip can holder. The holder can easily be made out of baling wire. Fabrication was relatively easy and took about an hour and a half without any assistance. I cannot relate how cooking is with it yet, but I expect good results.

it is well made and easy to put together, always a plus with me. it is carcoal which always made the food grilled taste so much better. it is easy to clean, always a problem with grills, and it is just the right side to cook for family and friends. i love my new grill

I couldn’t find the exact grill we have but this is similar! I love charcoal grills Bc you can pick different coals to enhance your flavor! Nothing beets cookout season!! Anytime you charcoal grill something it has amazing flavor

This grill will grill your meat to perfection. Although it is on the pricy side but it is totally worth it. The side table is extremely conveniently placed for the ultimate use. Beware, this grill gets super hot and takes a while to cook down.

It's a good size for my family and I much prefer to cook with charcoal. I don't have much to say about it except it's a good grill and it works out well enough for us. Would I buy it again maybe would I pick a different one if I had the choice maybe. No high praise but no real bad side either

Charcoal grills are better than gas in my opinion. The charcoal smells amazing when burning and leaves huh our food tasting like that hot summer day! Totally worth the buy! My husband is the grill master and loves this grill. We always bbq in the summer and sometimes in the winter too!

Installation went well. There are two items I would like to reinforce some improvement. Charcoal holding pan is flimsy and thin for that size to hold the Charcoal. Two.. It will be good if you, the manufacture or whoever packaged this item to add an installation Manual. This had me on the disadvantage for a long while. Thanks for google search.. Managed it.

My 19 yo son put this grill together for me and it took him about 4 hours but he was watching a basketball game while he did it so I'm sure it could have been done in significantly less time. It is my dream grill! I no longer burn food because the tray that holds the coals can be lowered to level deep enough to allow slow cooking and the grill plates are non stick and i am able to pull all of my meat off the grill without leaving some behind. It is large but was not expensive compared to other grills in its class. I picked a winner this time!

Fantastic grill!

This is an awesome grill. I had another one before this and gave it to my sister 6 years ago. Easy to use. Very sturdy with the legs being 90 degrees steel. And with the metal screen near the bottom of the legs being bolted in, it makes this more secure and sturdy. A nice change Charbroil made was making it a 2 piece grilling surface. Makes it easy to smoke meat. And I can bring it in for easy cleaning. Well worth the money.
