Good Bathroom Heater

I have used Broan/Nutone heaters for decades. The heaters provide adequate heat for small bathroom with shower enclosure.

The old one had a spring like heating element, which produced more heat, and made the bathroom warmer. The new one has more of a heating element that looks like a curved rod. The rod doesn’t put out the heat like the original.

Yes it made my day. This is an older design and it was a perfect replacement for my customers 1980 device. Installed easily with no problems. Client was very happy. That was all I needed to hear.

i have purchased these in the past and they do wear out pretty easily. I expected a colder winter and we didn't get it. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. My only concern has to do with how noisy it can be. It may need more mounting screws to secure it soundly to the ceiling.

Fan blade problem

The fan blade is not stable and has about a 1/16" gap up and down as it goes around, which causes a whirling noise. It goes from quiet to a light rattle to a loud rattle, then back to light rattle and quiet. This is annoying, but does provide heat. I have talked to technical support, who indicated this was not normal and recommended I return to the store for a replacement.

Bought these to replace Nutone heater from 1960s . This unit was loud and substandard compared to the one we had. Workmanship seemed cheap. It was returned and our old one was repaired.

Not well designed

I would love to tell you how it works, but I haven't been able to get it installed yet! The nitwit engineers decided it was a good idea to dimple the areas holding the lower carriage...and that was smart, but they failed to do the same for the electrical harness or bolts holding the fan motor. Trying to get the housing flush with the ceiling is a ROYAL PAIN!

Installed this heater in the bathroom off our master bedroom. It makes a huge difference stepping out of the bath/shower into a warm bathroom instead of a cold one. Hot showers and baths just don't heat the room enough during the winter. Installation was easy enough with our existing electrical setup. We are happy with this heater. We haven't had it very long but so far so good. If it goes wonky and gives us problems, I'll update this review.

Decent heater for a small room. Installed two in small bathrooms and does a decent job of heating but takes several minutes to get to full heat. Don't think it it would work too well in anything larger than about a 50SF room though. Mounting can be a challenge if you don't have the exact ceiling box. I was retrofitting an old ceiling heat lamp housing and had to make modifications.

I bought this when we did a bathroom renovation. I did not consult my husband who is pickier about gadgets, technology, hardware, you name it, then I am. He was pleasantly surprised and said it was great. I am picky about the look of an item and thought this one looked fine. It does the job, heats up a bathroom, no other problems.
