Checks the boxes for us

The tent is fairly easy to set up. I much prefer the clip style rigging that Klymit chose opposed to the sleeve style so many tents use. Tent can be put up and taken down incredibly quickly. The aluminum poles make me nervous as they're incredibly light weight. Plenty of ventilation and the colors are pretty nice too. The zipper quality is mediocre at best.

Easy setup

Foot print and tent worked well on a raft trip. Plenty of room to change inside and the tent went up with no fuss. The stuff sack took some thinking but is a clever idea. Tent was a reasonable weight for how much room it has. We had no inclement weather so can not comment on its weatherproofing and even slept one night with the fly off. Zippers and entry was well thought out and plenty of room

Review

For the price I got it at, it’s a great tent. It’s very light but I do wish it came with a better storage bag. Setup worked very well, took like 3 minutes. What didn’t work as well was getting out of the tent from inside using the zippers. I recommend this for all users but I lean towards beginners. Overall a solid tent for the use I have gotten out of it. My advice is get a footprint with it.

I always set new tents up in my yard for a thorough inspection. The tent went up easy as did the rain fly. There was a bit more play in the rain fly than my other tents which will create more noise when the wind is blowing hard. I found an incredible number of stitching that was unraveling. I spent hours repairing those and cutting off extra stitching. So fit and finish is not impressive.

Great Tent

This tent worked perfectly for me, my wife, and my dog (corgi) out car camping in the Olympics. Very good size for us to sleep in comfortably, while still being small and compact.

Wait and See

To be fair, I have not used this in the field. I have set it up in my backyard and did a thorough inspection. Expecting rain tonight so I’ll check the rain proof of this tent.

I have mixed feelings on

I have mixed feelings on this tent. If I had paid full price for it I would have been disappointed but on sale the value is okay for the money. First the good. Overall the design is good, aluminum poles, full rain fly, large vestibules, and full mesh for the tent portion. Now the bad. Overall the quality is questionable at best. If I didn't need to use if for a trip I probably would have returned it. There was a small hole in my fly I had to repair, the fly doesn't clip in to the tent because the wrong buckles were used and it only clipped into the footprint (purchased separately), there was loose thread coming undone by the fly zipper I also had to repair, the Velcro on the door of the fly doesn't quite line up and looks like it was sewn by a child and mine came with an orange stain on the grey portion of the fly. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because is was very on sale when I bought it and still feel like it was good value for the price. If you can get it on sale I might still recommend it but I only expect this tent to last a few seasons.

Perfect tent for being outside

Great tent for camping with my wife and dogs. Setup was very simple and it’s sturdy enough to stay standing in the recent storms. No leaking either which was impressive considering we received 1” of rain one evening. The darker fabric does heat up during the day from the sun but if you leave the rain fly open it cools off quickly. I think it would be a little tight with four adults in it, but two adults and two dogs is perfect.

used many times

I've used this tent many times. it's my go to for camping with my sweetheart. we have used it mainly for cat camping, but it's pretty lightweight so could be good for backpacking. We put a double mattress in here and it's still got room enough for our personal gear. I love the thoughtful pockets and ways to adjust/secure the rain fly and screen door. I also love the "bag" for the tent that I can use as a door mat inside the vestibule. yet another thoughtful price of gear from klymit!!

Looks great so far.

I purchased this tent because the dimensions were large enough for me to fit inside. Being 6 foot 3 inches and 300 pounds, I needed a bigger tent, and this one is great. I have only set it up as of now and it was easy to do so, putting it back in the burrito bag wasn't a chore either. Lots of mesh so it's not going to be to hot in the summer and the fly is done right so you can still have air flow when youre using it. It's looking like a great tent so far, I just haven't actually slept in it yet.

Great tent and customer service

I am very pleased with this tent. The small details incorporated in the design make it comfortable and useful for my adventures.

Great tent- very roomy

At over 7 lbs, this is not a hiking tent.

Roomy, simple, worth it

I took this out for a weekend in Colorado and highly recommend. Could be for advanced or beginner campers. The skeleton has only two pieces which flick together easily making it a very quick and simple setup. Pockets inside provide lots of storage and you can never add too many. The only gripe I have with this tent is that the doorway on the rainfly is hard to get into because the stakes holding it down are close together and the zipper has no room to open far to allow easy traffic into the tent. All together it gets the job done and would be good for even backpacking. Thank you and support local, much love.

Excellent multi-use tent

I have use this tent as my primary backpacking shelter for several years with no issues. It comfortably sleeps 2 and is always the first shelter complete with setup due to the ease of access - the corners pin in to the poles and the mesh and fly clip on in 2-3 minutes. Exceptionally easy to pack down as well, the bag allows you to just dump everything on to it and roll it up to compress air out, allowing quick departures in the morning.

Really good tent solid option for anything but heavy snow.

Used it to camp for 28 days in Canada and America on a road trip and its been fantastic. The material quality is very good and the zips and stitching are excellent i have not complaints.

Superb tent - some flaws

I've taken this tent on multiple trip since getting it, under multiple different circumstances. I've camped at lakes and swamps and beaches, with weather ranging from humid and buggy to downpour. Overall, I love this tent but it does have a quirk or two, and one (but only one) issue that I would consider significant.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent, easy to assemble tent

I am not an avid camper, and my wife is not a camper at all but sometimes my grandson likes to go out and camp even if it is only on my property. I decided to get this Klymit Cross Canyon 2 Tent - Red/Grey to use with my grandson. When I received it I was very impressed with how lightweight the tent is and how compact it is in its pouch. I then opened the pouch so I could try to assemble it. The first time I assembled it I was able to complete the assembly in under ten minutes but I’m sure next time it will be considerably faster since I now know how to do it. All parts of the tent seem well made. The aluminum support poles seem sturdy, the zippers work smoothly, and the stakes are strong. I like that each side has a zipper door so if one person wants to get out, the other person does not need to move. The top of the tent is mesh material so you can stargaze and look up at the sky if you leave the rain fly off but obviously check your weather first. Taking the tent apart is just as simple as assembly. Every time I’ve tried to pack up a tent after using it, it’s always a challenge to get it back in its bag but this one was so simple, I was very impressed. This seems to be a high quality tent and I would definitely recommend it.
