Beautiful, artfully crafted/carved piece of all wood (monkey pod). Would have preferred more warm oak in the grain, like in the picture, but regardless it is gorgeous & the dimensions are perfect for my use as a night stand by my bed. Can display an alarm clock & potted plant, & you have flexibility in which side you showcase. It's versatility as an accent table or end table are a bonus. There is a smaller walnut finish (oil, yes) model that is darker, not quite like the picture. Ir's all wood! with great grain swirls & I am thrilled with it except for the shade, which I feel will lighten with time anyway. I'm very happy/satisfied. The wood reminds me of the "old rugged cross" that Jesus died on to save the world. Can't thank Him enough. As we are imperfect, there were fully disclosed naturally occurring imperfections in this unique work of art.
Wow, wow, wow! We ordered this to use as a table base for a coffee table and let me tell you... it is stunning. A really heavy (!) and substantial piece, generously sized enough to hold a 30" round glass tabletop with ease and is an amazing focal point in our living room. In fact, it is SO nice, that my husband - who couldn't care less about decor, or so I thought - had me order another one right away (today; got the first one yesterday) to use as a matching end table. So we will have TWO one-of-a-kind handcrafted tables for less than the price of ONE cookie-cutter coffee table at a furniture store. Woohoo SCORE!!!
