Cheap- Not worth $!!!
It looks much cheaper and also the plastic piece is detached from the metal and you are able to see where the glue is not holding fixture together!! VERY cheaply made! I will be returning.

At a very high-quality appearance. The gold has a nice finish that is brushed/ matte and not to showey. I wanted a fixture that didn't hang too low and isn't a typical round fixture. This one worked perfectly.

Not as nice as it looks
This drum light looks a little cheap. Apparently my ceilings are uneven because there are a few gaps between the light and ceiling, but flush in other places.
Designer brand with poor quality
Let's just say this...if I had not gotten this on sale, I would have returned it in a heartbeat. The gold is a painted on finish and it's so poorly painted on that you can see bits of the black metal underneath. Some of this gold paint even got on the sides of the white "glass" which is not really glass but a plexiglass/ acrylic sort of material. The inside metal arms that hold the wiring onto the shade was warped so it wasn't sitting flush to the ceiling so I had to bend the arms into place. Because the arms were warped, it was warping the shell and the inside white plexiglass kept popping out. I finally just took scotch tape and taped it in place and hid it behind one of the gold bars. Oh and the diagram shows a circular mounting plate, but what I got was a skinny rectangular one which totally didn't work with my junction box (another long story) so I had to use the circular plate that came with my old light fixture. After finally getting everything to fit and work and taking it apart and reinstalling a hundred times, I put on the diffusion plate glass only to find out that the glass doesn't sit flush with the fixture. So on one side of the light, you can see the bulbs inside. This is probably b/c the whole thing is warp to begin with. Anyways, it took me so long to put it up that I can't be bothered to return it. I've installed at least 25 light fixtures in my lifetime and this is cheap cheap quality overall. I would not recommend this. It is definitely not worth the asking price.
