Works well in my space
I needed to replace a horrible, old florescent lighting fixture in my kitchen. It was important to have enough light to be able to see what I was doing in the kitchen so I chose this both because I liked the look of it and because it had a high lumen rating. It lights the kitchen perfectly and is a much warmer light than the florescent. I agree with the last reviewer that there is much more room between the glass cover and the metal outer cylinder but it doesn't bother me. I'd advise that you not try to install this by yourself; it's a two person job as the long screws in the hardware are difficult to get positioned into the designated holes. But once that was complete, it was a snap.
