By the pictures here online, I had a very hard time discerning whether I wanted to buy this rug or not. I am not a big fan of "distressed" rugs but this rug kept me coming back several times to it. I have a studio apartment and so in this lovely small space it is wise to put items you truly love and will not tire of admiring. This rug is amazing in my place. I love it , love it, love it! It barely looks distressed and I am ever so grateful for that. Also, I so appreciate that it is Washable! That's right folks, washable. Stinky feet, rude animal companions? Who cares you can throw this baby in the washer. The color and pattern is welcoming and gives my small abode that sweet "come stay and chat for a while" type of warmth. It is very thin and just soft enough for my tender toesies. My fur baby loves it too. I am a woman who knows what she likes and it took me 4 months to pick this one, after scouring the web in the price range I wanted to pay. I hope you love it too. Namasté
