The glass isn't tinted, the bulb is tinted.
This light is made of clear glass but it gets it's brownish tint in the picture because the light bulb it uses has a brown tint to it's glass. I've never seen a bulb tinted like that and if it were to burn out i'm unsure how to find a replacement. It was easy to put together as it only took 3 screws Pay attention to the dimensions as the glass piece as it was too big for the 8 foot ceiling i wanted to hang it from but other than that it's a great fixture.

I love this light. It looks great above my kitchen island. The only negative aspect of the light is that it has a set screw for which no tool was provided to adjust it. I had to try numerous tools in my house until one was able to adjust it.
