Easy assembly. Hardwood was sturdy. The wood was sanded and ready to be finished. My only complaint was the table top. When I stained it, I ended up with a wide patchwork of color. Some might like this feature.
Table broke after assembling
I ordered the unfinished version of this table intending to paint it white. I received it and assembled it following the instructions. I painted the table top and when it was dry, I turned it upside down on its top and painted the legs and pedestal. After that had dried I turned the table upright. At that point, the top broke off the pedestal. The screws that held the table top to the pedestal pulled out of the wood. I called and spoke to customer service. I was told if I wanted to return it, it had to be sent back by UPS. I told him I no longer had the box it came in and I did not think ups would pick up a table top and separate leg/pedestal section & I did not care to take it all apart again. Apparently, since I ordered it online, it can’t be returned to the store. Customer service from India was not helpful at all.
