We bought this rug for our living room several years ago and have been very happy with it. The colors in the picture are accurate. The pattern is pretty subtle - the colors are grey and beige but the rug feels very neutral (our walls are light blue and the furniture is grey - it works very well). It's very soft and comfortable - it has a silky feel to it. It's not terribly thick, so you do need a rug pad. We use a felt one, which works well. We've had it for several years, and it's still in perfect shape (despite children and pets)! I would definitely purchase it again.
