This is the exact UV light bulb that Germ Guardian specifies for use in the AC5250PT air purifier. I would not use a bulb from any other provider. I use the UV feature on my air purifier all day long, every single day. The light bulbs last about six months when used in this manner.

The previous bulb lasted for more than three years. I bought this bulb 5/18/2023 and it was dead around the first of September; just beyond Lowe's 90 day warranty.The price went up from $26.49 in May to over $35.00 now. Let's Go Brandon!

Damaged shipment

The UV replacement bulb was either damaged BEFORE shipping or was damaged DURING shipping, but Guardian Tech refused to send a new, undamaged bulb. At $30 per bulb, I would expect better customer service. The bulb was shipped in a flimsy tube & a plastic envelope. when a sturdy box and shipping materials should have been used. Guardian Technologies puts profit first before the customer. I would have given 0 stars if I could have.

Guardian shipped a UV bulb in a tube and envelope, and it arrived crushed in little pieces. What a freaking mess it made. They should have used a sturdy box and packing materials. Then, Guardian refused to send a replacement. I can’t afford to spend $30 for a UV bulb just to throw it in the garbage. The Unit cannot be used now and will have to be recycled because it is too expensive to maintain. Buy a unit from a reputable store like Home Depot or Lowes who will gladly replace/refund items damaged in shipping.

Very happy with these Air Purifiers. they remove an incredible amount of dust and the UV bulbs destroy the germs in the air. I am on Oxygen 24/7 and they have made my breathing so much easier.

Needing to replace the UV light tube on my GermGuardian AC5000E air purifier, my online search was finding UV light tubes that were $30-$60. This UV tube is the same size/type/wattage for less than $20! After installation, which is tricky because of the safety interlocks this air purifier has, the UV light tube works perfectly.
