Not actually gold threads in the stripes and a lot more creamy in color
these fibers are poor quality -and pill -
I searched over a year before finally deciding on these rugs-8x10-9x12-I knew factoring in the international shipping and customs fees to my home I needed to be sure of my purchase. I loved the Safavieh brands previously purchased. I also thought the Martha Stewart name stood for style and quality. Wrong-These rugs were off colour on arrival -though being in different rooms -I could live with it-However-the fibers not only shed -they pull out continuously. I have vacuumed over and over -My canister runs over -Its like constant pilling of fiber. Never have I seen such fluff -everyday -shedding everywhere-I have owned wool Orientals in the past -nothing like this -A dreadful waste of time and money

This rug is thick soft and wonderful. We did put a thick rug pad under it bought at Overstock. I have had it 4 years. I have cleaned it once with the steam cleaner and it cleaned up beautifully. It is not in a high traffic area and I do not vacuum it more than twice a month to keep the wool from being sucked up. Wool rugs will go flat if you constantly vacuum them.
I purchased this rug 6 months ago. I waited to give a review as I was a little disillusioned with the rug when it arrived and wanted to be fair in my review. It was damaged with a small tear on the backing. I decided to keep it anyhow as I was able to tape the backing.

I really love this runner. Great quality for a great price. I did give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the rug is a little darker color than pictured. However, iI did not return it because it still worked in my space.
Good quality rug
This rug was more substantial than I expected. The color is rich and the stripes add a nice dimension, but is not too busy. A good choice if you gravitate towards solid rugs.

Pretty pattern but it got dirty pretty quickly in my house. The wool created shedding so that was another factor we had to deal with. If you're a really tidy person that doesn't mind vacuuming and never spill then this rug is fine to get

It was very pretty, but the black flecks in the stripe were much more noticeable than in the photos. It may look great in some homes, but didn't work well in my living room.
