Still beautiful but not as functional or well-made

I didn't realize they changed the basket design. While I like that it is zero plastic, the metal base surround scratched the inside of my cabinet and it isn't as solid as the plastic bottom ones, so the cleaning products I want to use in it, immediately began to bend the bottom of the basket. The other metal around the basket feels less strong, too. And as the base isn't flat, the rubber feet have to be fairly large to offer any protection and makes the baskets not slide like the plastic bottom baskets did. As it's for under the sink, felt feet isn't ideal, so the new metal base makes these baskets less useful.

Do not purchase!

Do not purchase the large baskets. They are jammed together and impossible to separate. I have received three various orders but have encountered the same problem every time. It’s a bummer because they’re so cute, but these are impossible to separate. It was an ease with the medium baskets.

Quality & design

So many organization, baskets and bins can look really cheap. These don’t. Makes sense they are more expensive. The price is a little high for what they are. But I plan on keeping them for a long time, so I wanted some thing that looked nice but also was high-quality and well-made, which these seem to be.

Two arrived stuck together. Useless.

Cannot separate the two that arrived. We need to have new ones sent separately or return them. Help!!

Large crates stuck together, can't separate them

I've been so happy with all components of the storage I've ordered from Open Spaces so far, but I actually had the same issue as the reviewer below me for the 2 Large Crates that were shipped together - they have cardboard JAMMED in between the two crates and they're stacked super tight on top of each other, and I literally cannot get them unstuck/separated with several strong people trying with me. Have to sadly return these.

I had already read in another review that the current baskets are not as tall as the original ones so I was prepared for that. I just received my order and was transferring items from an old basket to a new one and they are not as long or maybe as wide either. All the items would not fit into the new basket. I wish I had ordered more of the old baskets before they changed.

Also the basket bottoms don’t have a solid base bottom just the top one that’s inside the wire. Wish I had bought more before the change

Easy to organize

Love the look of these baskets it makes my open shelving organized while staying aesthetic. If you’re a long time customer be warned that these are shorter than the old baskets so unfortunately they stand out as mismatched.

Not the same high quality baskets any longer

I have 2 large baskets in green that I ordered 2 years ago, and I love them. I ordered 2 blue baskets in the same size a month ago and when they arrived, I was surprised that they were not the same basket. Despite an increase in the price, the baskets are now smaller - both smaller than their predecessor (which is still used in promotional pictures,) and smaller than the dimensions listed on the website. Not only are they smaller, they are made with a thinner gauge wire, and a different bottom construction altogether. It’s a thin metal sheet that you can see each spot where it attaches to the wire. It previously was a thicker material and there was a sheet inside the basket and second under the basket, which made it slide out easily from a shelf without scratching it when accessing the items stored in it. The new version weighs half as much as the very durable original. While the new version is ok compared to a basket from a big box store, it feels cheap and haphazard compared to the original version of the same item from Open Spaces. When products get value engineered to something less-than, it’s time to stop using the photographs of the original version. It’s a misleading sales practice at best, and can only lead to disappointment for many customers when something different is delivered. Quality/ price complaints aside, it’s annoying to feel duped.

These are great, and well made. I got the light pink which is very very pale. I honestly would not have paid full price, but got a good deal because I got an additional discount for adding these to the order, so they came out pretty inexpensive. Glad I got them!

These baskets seem build to last. They are super sturdy and more heavy duty than I expected. They also look super cute and make organization feel even better.
