Easy to put together and it looks really nice, finished -- as ever, though, there was a flaw -- the left back top edge was chipped. Not worth the hassle and cost of shipping back, so my brother just got some wood glue, fixed it himself, and epoxy-painted it to match the top. Why, though, does nothing that's shipped EVER arrive totally undamaged? 20 years into the new century, you'd think they could do better packing job.

We had a TV stand we liked, the problem was our robot vacuum didn’t fit underneath it so it was a pain to clean out underneath it (I know, 1st world problems...)This kit comes shipped in two boxes which makes it easier to move around. And installation was fairly simple IF you pay attention to the instructions, in particular, the page showing you how to attach the rails enabling the sliding drawers. I do wish the drawers were soft close but they do work regardless. After assembling I noticed it sagged in the middle a bit, making the drawers not line up perfectly. Then I tried running my robot vacuum, but it didn't fit underneath :( Luckily the two plastic pegs under the bottom middle could be raised a fraction of an inch. This straightened out the drawers and allowed the robot to pass underneath (see attached video)! For the cost, this was a great replacement and I like it!

Good value

I got this TV stand for my teenage daughter. Unfortunately, we had to take the TV away because of her grades. However, she had no trouble finding things to store onto it. This piece of furniture is not an heirloom, and it will probably be disposed of when she goes to college. It is made of particleboard construction in Denmark (of all places). It's very similar to the well-known Swedish furniture company. I was impressed that the manufacturer supplied extra fasteners and assembly components. A couple of mine that came in the bag were defective and it was nice having extras. Overall we are satisfied and think its a great bargain.

Afternoon project.

Almost all tv stands are open shelved, this one has three drawers and that's the reason I got it. It is 60 inches long so will fit most TV's Instructions are a pain they are photo copy's with no page numbers just thrown together so you will have to get them sorted out. It is well made but will take a couple of hours to assemble. Once put together it is very sturdy and will last basically forever.

Difficult to Assemble

The TVILUM MADRID 60 INCH WHITE TV STAND WITH 3-STORAGE DRAWERS arrived in good condition, but was very DIFFICULT to Assemble. This product of Denmark came with instructions that were challenging to follow as well as (in my opinion) poor quality fasteners. I have put together quite a lot of boxed furniture pieces over the years, and this is the only one I ever had difficulty with. The first 10 steps are attaching all the fasteners to the individual pieces. Step 11 starts the actual assembly with a double headed bolt which was not long enough to easily lock into place with the locking cam. I broke several cams trying to get them locked into place. I call the manufacturer and they told me they would send out more parts, but no one ever called me back from the service department to explain what was wrong with the bolt. I used some tools to get the bolt head to extend just far enough to get the cam to engage just enough to hold the pieces together while I completed the assembly. I spent over 4 hours on this small project and I am waiting for replacement cams so I can finish assembly of the drawers. Overall this TV stand looks nice, but I don't think I will trust this unit to hold anything heavy. I do not recommend this product.

Nice Looking, Substantial Piece, A Few Small Issues

It took a little over three hours for two of us to assemble our Tvilum Madrid 60" White TV Stand. We'll get into the reasons below. First, appearance wise the front is very nice. Although it is press board with what we like to call "wallpaper paint" it looks good and is quiet substantial in weight. We were surprised the drawers inside are grey (see photo). Nice touch. Not sure where cord management comes in to play. It's not discussed in the instructions and we don't see it on the piece. The back of the piece is unfinished and the pieces do not line up to create an even back, which is a bummer. So this is only going to work up against a wall (see photo).

TV stand

Perfect fit to my space. Directions were a bit tricky for sequencing of pieces but we were able to construct it in just over 1-1/2 hours. Nice looking piece.
