I bought this to use as a corner TV stand. It works perfectly. I originally wanted something white, but white wasn't an option with this so I went with the gold. It's a nicer gold than expected - sort of a matte not quite antique gold. Not brassy at all. I was surprised to note that the gold against the beige wall stands out less than a white one would have, and makes that part of the living room look larger. The only downside to using this in reverse in a corner is that the bolts attaching the top to the side rods will show. However, the bolts are gold like the metal so I don't think it's all that noticeable (see close up below).
I purchased this item for my daughter nail salon; and she absolutely loved it; and the shape is what made the sale for her; it really fits her decor and it happen to be the same shape as two other items of furniture; she couldn't have been happier and well please with this piece.
