This is a fun take on a spindle bed! It's a solid bed for the price, but it did take two people and some time to assemble it. Over all, very happy with this purchase!

good enough for the price, color is brown

it looks nice but like another reviewer said, it’s more dark brown than black. also, the instructions are pretty terrible. Take a long time thinking about how you will need to put it together before starting. additionally, the hardware is extremely greasy, so wear gloves if it bothers you.

Great Modern Metal Bed

Great metal bed, something different than typical! Assembly was straightforward and easy and the finish is smooth and consistent. Its sturdy metal construction as well.

Great bed frame, and I love the support slats and structure. A great base for our mattress. I was a little disappointed that it looks more brown than black once seen in person.

BROWN - not black. Terrible instructions. Scuffed

I loved the look of this bed when I ordered it, but was super disappointed when it arrived and was definitely brown and not black. It looks kind of like an oil rubbed bronze - dark brown but some lighter brown speckling. My son has black curtain rods and some black accents in his room and next to all of that, the brown is very noticeable. If we didn’t have any other black in the room then I’d consider keeping the bed, but it’s just going to drive me nuts. The instructions are also terrible if you’ve never built a bed (gives a general idea of where things go but not which sides of the pieces need to be facing which direction… definitely a bit of a guessing game/trial and error). Despite being pretty well packaged, the bed also came with scratches and parts that just look sloppy. We didn’t even get it assembled before deciding to return it. Super bummed because it looks nice and seems like it’d be sturdy, but too many disappointments right out of the packaging!

Difficult to make, but great bed

I love the finished product of this bed. It is not exactly black. The instructions are hard to use. If you make this bed, here are some tips I wish I had: the instructions are in the box with the plastic slat ends. I had to pull out a drill to refine the holes so some pieces could fit together because there was leftover metal from when the manufacturers drilled the holes. The mini and the large screws go into the headboard and footboard, not the medium-sized ones (had to backtrack for this). A friend (or two) will most likely be necessary towards the end of the process. The final bed will not match the image on the site because the wooden slats will be vertical not horizontal. There are also 6 supporting feet in the middle of the bed, not 3. I'm excited for this bed now that it is built!
