I was looking for a blanket that was cooling and light to add under my quilt comforter- I purchased king size for my queen bed so it can overhang. My body temp varies all the time- some nights when I go to bed I'm warm, other nights I'm absolutely freezing. Research told me that 100% cotton is the best fabric to stay cool. Right out of the box, the first thing I noticed about this blanket was the color (Lilac), which I'm not fond of. It's more of a muddy, gray, purple. The blanket right out of the plastic covering, had this really bad odor- which I'm guessing is from the plastic covering as it smelt like plastic fumes. I washed and dried the blanket as per label but added white vinegar and Oxiclean to the wash to get rid of the smell, and it did. LOTS of lint came off the blanket in the lint trap, so beware of that. Sleeping with the blanket didn't necessarily keep me cool, but there was more airflow coming through the blanket which helped regulate my body temp. The blanket is also very soft and cuddly. Overall, a good purchase.

Very nice weight. Bright white. Maybe a little small for each size bed. I ordered a king and queen as we have those two beds. I prefer a little more blanket all over the bed so I would probably like a king size blanket for a queen mattress and a bigger king blanket for my king bed. However, they will work just fine.

Launders easily and little to no shrinkage.Expected to last years. Summer weight and nice tight weave. Good hem. Simple. Colorful. Yellow is BRIGHT, not soft color.

Very light weight

I really enjoyed this blanket. It is very lightweight and perfect for the summer. I like being covered, but I don’t want anything too heavy especially on hot days and this really fits my need!

This woven blanket is actually great for dog owners! I was worried it would be a snagging issue for my dogs who sleep in bed with me but it hasn’t been. As long as I keep their nails trimmed and smoothed well, it’s no problem. The blanket has a very tight weave that makes it warm and also visually appealing. It covers very well and is sturdy yet soft, with a lovely drape. I have included pictures of the pattern of the weave so you can see. It’s very pretty. Taking care of it has been easy. It’s gotten softer, and held up well. No pills or furring. The color I received is a light buttery cream color, good for any time of year, in my home. We keep our house cold year-round, so we use blankets a lot and have a large collection. This is a welcome addition.

Warmer summer weight blanket

A lovely soft blanket, but was too warm for a summer weight blanket for us, so sent back.

Soft Blanket, God Awful Smell

I purchased this blanket for my son's dorm room. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The color is lighter than pictured but still very nice! The blanket is lightweight and soft. It arrived with a little pull, not what you want to see with a new blanket, even at $40 on sale. The smell, omg the smell. It's like if wet cardboard and mildew had a baby that was swaddled in cheap furniture plastic and set out in the sun on a slightly damp day. I can not unsmell it. I hope it washes out, if not, it is being returned.

dissapointed

Guess I should have checked the size before I bought. Ordered a king but not sure it would even fit a queen. The pkg and the blanket smelled terrible when I received it so I washed it immediately. That helped. But I should have just sent it back. Bad product JCP.

Just what I wanted

I wanted a lightweight blanket for summer, and this is great. I ordered the King, and it didn't shrink too much when I washed it. It's soft. I put it under the duvet, so I don't mind that it's a bit wrinkly. I ordered the light gray, and it's a nice shade of light gray with a slight blue undertone, which is my preference. If I needed another, I would buy this again.
