This is the second one of these lights that I've installed, and though I like both the appearance and the light that it produces, they were both unusually difficult to install, partly because of the need to have a junction box large enough to accommodate the ballast on top of the light, and partly because of the need to have every little detail perfect, despite an inadequate set of instructions. For both installations, because my home was set up for ceiling fans, I was forced to drill and chisel out part of the crossbeam above the ceiling drywall in order to replace the junction box, enjoying a shower of wood chips and fiberglass insulation all the while. Then, tiny details, such as for this lamp, having to orient the mounting plate so that the grounding wire attachment is on the top, despite it being virtually flush to the plate, would prevent the lamp from being attached to the mounting plate. I bought both lamps as open-box items, after some other buyer had returned them, and learned the hard way why there were so many returns for these lamps. Less

Worked well. I needed a black frame flush mount LED. There are less expensive options port there in white. But I need black

Stopped after 4 years

We loved it until it stopped recently. 4 years on reliability, Not that great.
