Fantastic Soft Area Rug!
I am SO glad I purchased this rug! I had been looking everywhere for a soft rug for my new-to-crawling baby. Our previous rug was a little rough and shed like crazy because it was wool. This rug hasn't shed yet and is much softer on his little knees. It's not as thick as a shag rug, which is great because for our living room that would've been too hard to keep clean. It's a little more of an ivory colored base instead of a cream base color like in the picture, but we like that it brightens the room. It has light gray and light beige designs which match our farmhouse living room perfectly. Because of the designs it doesn't show any spots as much. It does show vacuum marks, but that's not a problem for us. After about a week it relaxed and the lumps were pretty well gone. We got a rug pad to go underneath for extra padding. I had looked forever trying to find a soft area rug that didn't have crazy colors because our colors are pretty muted. I'm SO glad we went with this rug! I rarely leave reviews, but I was so in love with this rug I wanted to share in case anyone else was struggling. Ignore all the toys in the picture. This was also the day we rolled it out, so the lumps were obviously still showing.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right size rug for my living room?
Aim for a rug that fits all the main furniture pieces on it or at least the front legs of sofas and chairs to anchor the space.
Can I layer rugs for added texture and interest?
Absolutely, layering rugs can add depth and dimension. Pair a larger, neutral rug with a smaller, patterned rug for the best effect.
What's the best way to clean and maintain my rug?
Vacuum regularly, spot clean spills immediately, and consider professional cleaning for deep stains or at least annually for high-traffic rugs.
How does rug size impact the balance of my living room?
A rug that extends the full length of the sofa can help balance the room. A small rug can make the sofa look disproportionately large.
What should I consider when positioning rugs in relation to doors and furniture?
Ensure the rug doesn't obstruct doorways or get caught on the doors. It should also not interfere with the operation of any cabinets or cupboards that open into the room.
Are there practical tips for maintaining rugs and prolonging their appearance?
Rotate your rugs annually to even out wear and fade, and address spills or flattening promptly to maintain their look and feel. For more substantial size or shape adjustments, consider having rugs cut and edged professionally.
What are some considerations for choosing a rug in relation to the sofa?
Select a rug large enough to cover the area beneath the entire sofa, which helps in unifying the space and balancing the room's proportions.
What is the recommended rug size for a living room with a sectional sofa?
The rug should not be shorter than the length of the sofa and should be wide enough to fit under all pieces of a sectional, or at least allow for the front legs to be on the rug.
Can I use a round rug with a rectangular table?
Generally, it's best to match the shape of the rug with the table. Therefore, avoid pairing a round rug with a rectangular table and vice versa for visual harmony.
